Know what your video needs
A bigger frame can help when you want to reuse a small video on a larger screen. Start with a short, representative clip and judge the result at the size you plan to use.
The on-page example uses a prepared, downsampled five-second excerpt: 480 × 360 input and 960 × 720 output. It shows a real processed result, rather than a resolution label alone. It is one example, not a guarantee that every video will improve in the same way.
Try older home videos, low-resolution recordings or a short clip that looks small in a larger edit. Video super-resolution increases the output dimensions and attempts to enhance visual detail. It is most useful when the source is readable and you can compare the finished result. Keep the original file so you can choose between both versions.
The upscaler doubles both width and height, rather than the duration or frame rate. A 480 × 360 video becomes 960 × 720, while a 720p landscape video becomes 1440p. Portrait video keeps its orientation. A larger output is not a promise of better-looking footage: the quality still depends on the source, so examine faces, text and moving edges carefully.
Use the free first 30 seconds to see whether your browser supports the file and whether the output suits your purpose. If the opening is not representative, prepare a short excerpt from the part you care about. Processing is slower than playback and can require significant local storage. A short test helps you assess both the result and the waiting time.
This page is for increasing video resolution. It does not offer video editing, frame interpolation, color correction, background removal or guaranteed blur repair. If you need 4K delivery, 1080p input, immediate results or a mobile workflow, the current limits may not suit you. For supported smaller footage, you can try the free workspace directly on this page.
Free use covers up to the first 30 seconds of each video. The one-time unlock removes that duration cap; the same format, resolution, device and storage limits still apply.

Input is limited to 720p: up to 1280 × 720, or 720 × 1280 for portrait footage. Output width and height are doubled. For example, 640 × 360 becomes 1280 × 720, and 1280 × 720 becomes 2560 × 1440. This tool does not currently offer 4K output or accept 1080p input.
Yes. Free use has no usage-count quota and needs no sign-in. Each output contains up to the first 30 seconds of a supported video. Shorter videos keep their full duration; longer inputs are automatically trimmed. Start another run whenever you need one.
The full-duration unlock is $9.99 USD once, with permanent access and no subscription. Purchases require Google sign-in and an available checkout; the pricing section shows the current status. The unlock removes the product duration cap, but does not remove format, resolution, device or local-storage limits.
The completed output is an MP4 video with twice the input width and height. Supported source audio is retained. Use the download button after processing finishes, and keep a copy on your device. The workspace does not provide an online archive of your results.
This is not real-time processing. Even a few seconds of footage can take several minutes, depending on resolution, frame rate, video length and your device. Try a short clip first, keep this tab open, and use the time estimate shown during the run. The estimate updates as processing continues.
Start with a recent desktop Chrome or Edge browser and an H.264 MP4 with AAC or MP3 audio. The workspace checks the file and device before processing. Other supported formats may work, but browser support varies; mobile devices, every codec and every browser are not guaranteed. You also need enough available local storage for the output.
The selected video is processed on your device; its contents are not uploaded to a server for enhancement. The site still uses network requests to load the processing files and check access. Sign-in, checkout and service activity are described separately in the Privacy Policy. Local processing does not mean the entire website works offline.
No. Upscaling can make some edges and textures look clearer, but it cannot guarantee recovery of the original detail. Heavy compression, motion blur and badly damaged footage can remain visible, and enhancement may introduce artifacts. Compare the original and result before deciding whether the output is useful.
